Site Superintendent Piping & Mechanical

Construction Mechanical Superintendent is appointed for major projects. He reports to the Construction Manager and will take responsibility for the coordination of all Mechanical Construction activities through the Construction Mechanical Superintendents or, when are not present, directly through the Construction Mechanical Supervisors – scope of responsibilities (packages, rotating, static, piping, steel structure). CMS has direct responsibility on management of Mechanical Subcontractors to ensure that their performances are carefully monitored in terms of schedule, quality and cost, and he will coordinate all necessary recovery actions whenever detect deviation from schedule or specifications under the guidance of Construction Manager. Ensures the implementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities;
Directly participates to the HSE activities at site as defined for his position in the Site HSE plan and related procedures.

  • Directs personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
  • Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action.
  • Typically serve as lead person to coordinate process activities within their assigned scope in an active construction work site
    Generally responsible to assure all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance
  • Proven ability promoting outstanding customer service and client relations
Job requirements
  • Around 20 years of working experience in Construction Supervision
  • Sound knowledge of dangerous conditions on plants.
  • Self motivated with ability to supervise and motivate small team
  • Must be familiar with NDE requirements, Weld Mapping and Material Traceability
  • Must be able to read & understand weld symbols, weld procedures, mechanical and structural drawings
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices
